Caring for hair extensions is important to maintain their quality and prolong their lifespan.
Here are some tips on how to care for your hair extensions.
Regular Brushing
Brush your hair extensions regularly with a loop brush or a wide-tooth comb to prevent tangling and breakage. Start from the ends and work your way up to the roots.
Wash Thoroughly
Wash your hair extensions with a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Gently massage the products into the hair, avoiding rubbing or tugging. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Avoid High Heat
Avoid using high heat from hot tools such as fl at irons or curling irons on your hair extensions, as it can damage the hair and cause breakage. If you use heat styling tools, make sure to use a lower heat setting and a heat protectant spray.
Sleep Carefully
When sleeping, tie your hair extensions in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent tangling. You can also use a satin or silk pillowcase to reduce friction and maintain the smoothness of the hair.
Take Care When Swimming
Avoid exposing your hair extensions to chlorine or saltwater, as they can cause dryness and damage to the hair. If you do go swimming, make sure to wear a swim cap or tie your hair up to protect the extensions. We suggest coating hair in a moisturizing mask before entering a pool, lake, ocean, etc.
Proper Storage
Store your hair extensions properly when not in use. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. You can also hang them on a hanger or store them in a silk or satin pouch to prevent tangling.
Trim Regularly
